CCG Architects submitted to the Australian Institute of Architects Awards, and applied for an award for public architectural, for the project of Newcastle Interchange.

The submission for this project included a presentation which highlighted the Newcastle Interchange design history. The presentation generated a narrative from the previous design of Wickham Station through the various changes which led to the final Newcastle Interchange.

Our presentation included referenced case studies, community responses and the contextual and historic influences which supported the design. The submission was shortlisted and CCG Architects were invited to guide a site inspection for the jurors. The team involved with the design and construction of Newcastle Interchange were deeply proud of the outcome.
