CCG Architects provided full documentation and contract administration services for the delivery of a major education facility upgrade on the school’s six-acre campus. The project included the construction of a new Senior and Administration Building, a covered canteen forecourt, expanded car parking and associated external works.

The two-storey, 2,200m² building was delivered as a staged development and now accommodates Timber and Metal Workshops, Design and Technology facilities, Band Rooms, five Music classrooms, five General Learning classrooms, Seminar Rooms, and new administration offices for both the School and Church, all supported by upgraded amenities.

Externally, the development introduced a 200m² covered canteen area, a new basketball court with provision for future cover, 63 additional car spaces, a bus shelter, and accessible pathways linking the school, church and childcare centre.

The project brief called for a high-quality architectural outcome within a modest budget. This was achieved through a carefully considered design strategy that established a clear distinction between “hard” and “soft” spaces. On the lower level, robust concrete finishes within the metal workshop are softened by bright light wells that introduce natural light and ambience. Upstairs, the dynamic interplay of raked ceilings, bulkheads and high-level windows creates inspiring learning environments within the Band Rooms, Music Rooms, General Learning areas, and Seminar Rooms.

The building also incorporates a range of sustainable and low-maintenance initiatives, including automated integration of air conditioning and natural ventilation through a C-Bus system to reduce energy consumption. Lighting throughout is motion-sensor controlled with manual override functionality, while water conservation systems support all amenities.

The completed project has provided the school with inspiring, future-focused learning environments that continue to be highly valued by staff and students alike.
