The new Warringah Golf Club and Community Centre in Dee Why provides a contemporary setting for golf, dining and community events. CCG Architects worked alongside Prime Constructions, Northern Beaches Council and Warringah Golf Club to deliver the $12 million, two-storey clubhouse, designed to meet the needs of club members and the wider community.
The clubhouse accommodates a pro shop, dining and function areas, multiple bars, a commercial kitchen and administration spaces. A generous terrace overlooking the golf course extends the dining and social areas outdoors, making the most of the outlook across the fairways. These facilities support everyday club activities as well as larger functions and celebrations.
Close collaboration between the design team, builder and stakeholders was central to integrating the operational requirements of the golf club with those of a contemporary hospitality venue. The design brings these uses together through practical planning and welcoming spaces for members and visitors.
Part of the broader Warringah Recreation Centre redevelopment, the clubhouse sits alongside tennis and squash courts and new parking facilities. The completed project strengthens the precinct’s role as a destination for sport and recreation, with new spaces for the Northern Beaches community to dine, gather and celebrate.
