The substation is adjacent to Ku-ring-gai National Park and is quite visible from across the valley to the east.

Therefore it was important to design a building that was sympathetic to this context.

The building’s visible mass has been reduced by supporting it’ s upper levels on a series of columns.

The concrete walls will be coloured with an inscribed pattern.
