As part of Ausgrid’s substation upgrade program CCG were engaged to provide concept design and tender documentation for Potts Hill Zone Substation building in a growing industrial area of Chullora with increasing power supply needs.

The brief also included three transformer bays and a two hundred metre right of way with upgrading parking facilities for the adjacent tyre depot.

The site contained a protected species of flora upon which impact had to be minimised. The concept aimed to complement the surrounding industrial buildings while a creating a aesthetic link between the functional nature of the building and the integral equipment it houses.
