Design and construction of new easy access facilities at the heritage listed railway station.

The approach was to clearly express architectural additions – lifts and canopies – in a contemporary style that would contrast with the magnificent existing Gothic revival sandstone station building.

Typical of any easy access upgrade projects, new lift shafts were added to the existing footbridge to provide disable access between platforms.

The project also includes a 50m platform canopy to provide weather protection to commuters.
