Passengers are now benefiting from increased frequency of train services at Waurn Ponds Station following opening of the CCG designed station.

Future upgrades that will take place on providing through services to Warrnambool following on from track duplication being undertaken.

Upgrades include a second platform on the south side of the station with an accessible pedestrian overpass connecting it to the existing platform. At new entry forecourt and much needed upgrades to the existing toilet facilities at the station. New myki readers and 68 solar panels have also been installed to offset power usage. A further 200 new car parking spaces, better security and improved passenger information for commuters and visitors were added.
